EAGLE RIVER CLASSIC
DAY 1 JANUARY 20, 2007
Today was the first heat of the annual Eagle River Classic hosted by the Chugiak Dog Mushers at Beach Lake Park. Finishing positions and day one times are shown in attachment one above. This is the starting order for the second day which will be at 2 o’clock Sunday, January 21. Prior to the second heat of the Eagle River Classic there will be a 6 dog 8 mile race. Late entries are welcome until 11:15. Spectators are welcome and picture taking is ideal in several locations.

DAY 2 JANUARY 21, 2007:
Fresh snowfall and 30 degree temperature – There were several changes in the order of the 2 day Classic. Bill Kornmuller takes the Classic with a total time of 112:21. It was an exciting weekend.

The final points races in a late season was run today on the freshly groomed Beach Lake Sled Dog Trails. Fresh falling snow did not affect trail conditions as very fast times were recorded. Times are in minutes and seconds

THE POKER FUN RUN, SWAP MEET & BBQ WAS A SUCCESS
The Chugiak Dog Mushers sponsored a fun filled day with a 2 mile Poker Run, Sunday, September 24th, 14 ntrants hooked up one to sixteen dogs per team using any type of cart, motorized or not. Rules also allow any number of passengers per team with the objective...get the best poker hand at the end of the race. A good time was had by all.
A Bar-B-Que and trail stories will followed.

As a courtesy to the Chugiak dog mushers, who rely on the trails for training their teams, it is requested that the parking spaces in front of the posts are reserved for vehicles transporting dog teams. All other users are welcome and encouraged to park in the large lot across the road.
