Aurora 25/25 40 Miles Race - Ages 12-17 welcome! |
Jan. 21, 2012 (Saturday) Aurora Dog Mushers Club House in Big Lake Sign up is at 09:30 and race begins at 11:00 a.m. Entry fee is $50.00 per team. Any one with a team and is between the ages of 12-17 are encouraged to race. 10 dogs max and 6 dogs minimum. Junior races on for December 10th |
Posted 12/09/11 -Hello All This is being posted at 2:30pm on fri. the 9th. The junior races are on for tomorrow. All classes. The mileage for 5 and 7 doggers to be determined tomorrow morning. Please, we need volunteers for trail guards, chute judge, and handlers for competitors getting up to the line. The club house parking lot is icy under the snow, be careful. Also, at the hook-up posts, and some spots in the holding area are icy.
Call your friends and let them know. See you tomorrow, sat. the 10th. Sign-ups begin at 9:30 am. Start for draw position a little after 10:00

Junior Points Race On..December 3rd |
| Posted 11/29/11 - We are planning on having the first points race this saturday,December 3rd, 2012. There are a few moguls in the usual place on the 4 mile inbound, but runnable. Everything will be on the two, three (if desired by competitors), and or four mile trails. All classes. Of course, the one dog on the quarter mile trail. Arrive by 9:30 to fill out paper work, sign up, and draw for start positions. 10:30 start for one doggers. This is all contingent on no major weather damage to the trail. We will need people to volunteer to trail guard saturday, and some one to help drive a club snowmachine to get trail guards out there! |

Posted 11/24/11 - For anyone who has a cheechako, there will be a race for one doggers, and two doggers this saturday, the 26th. Signups at 9:30 in the club house, start of the one dog at 10:30.

| Posted 11/04/11 - The juniors selected for the Arctic Winter Games in Whitehorse in March were: Juvenile division Hali Young, Eagle River, and Charlie McNeill, North Pole. In the Junior division: Nathaniel Stitt from Willow, and Alea Robinson of Eagle River. Congratulations to all of them. |
