Junior Mushers Enjoy
LeGrande Odyssee

submitted by Lois Rockcastle and Eric Noble - 02/04/05
Alea Robinson and Andrew Noble, members of the Chugiak Junior Dog Mushers, traveled with their parents to Avoriaz, France in early January. The family were handlers for their friend and Iditarod musher Jessie Royer who won first place in Le Grande Odyssee out of a field of 18 mushers from around the world.

Alea won first place in Le Odyssee de Enfantes (the children's race) with two dogs and Andrew won third place, also with two dogs. The weather was sunny and warm with wonderful snow.
