Thanks to Matt Paveglio, all distance trails are groomed, including 10-12-14-16-inlet, alternate connectors, and the camp easement trail.

Help is needed in adding more snow to the culverts. If you have time bring a shovel and add some snow. 🙂
Also, distance trails have been groomed! CDMA Trails are open and very fast. Use caution.
Parks and Rec asks that mushers do not train on Beach Lake during the daytime - it's been very busy with skiiers, dog-walkers, and ice-fishers. CDMA Trails closed. 37 and raining hard. We will post as soon as they reopen.

Scott and KP groomed the 2-3-4-6-8 and kiddy tonight! We are almost there for running on sleds!. Only few more inches and we will be able to safely hook down and enjoy our gorgeous system. We need volunteers to shovel snow in the culverts so we can open the whole system soon!

ALL trails are still closed due to the warm temperatures and rain. :( Hope to have cooler temps and some snow soon so we can pack and reopen the system! The gee-haw, 6-8 inbound, 10-12-14, beach lake and Cloonie lake have been packed!
Three days ago: The 2-3-kiddy-4 and 6-8 outbound to cinnamon have been cleared and groomed. Still not safe for sprint sleds. Huge Thank You to Scott and KP who opened the north trail system tonight, the 2-3-4-6-8-10-12-B camp are all cleared and groomed, but not for sleds yet! Enjoy and remember this is all volunteer work!
Please wear your safety vest when using ATVs to train dogs on Beach Lake trails. Reminder: Use of snowmobiles and other motor vehicles in Beach Lake Park is not permitted, unless authorized for grooming and/or race preparation and safety.
3/7: (Kris R.) Trail re routed next to glaciation on trail to Inlet. Flagging on both ends. Jr. Thru 8 mi including turns re groomed .....Plus Inlet trail and 16 connector. And Red Lantern Ridge 3/6: (Kris R.) Both edges have been cut, corners are banked and 4,6,8 turns are groomed. The alternate side is groomed and in excellent shape for distance teams !! 3/6: (KP) The 2-3-4-6-8-10 and Alternate side to beginning of inlet and back to Dee Lake are groomed. Trails past 10 mile have not been used for a while. Inlet to 16 mile was too windblown from groomer last night. |
