Easter Relay Rules
Starting Position: Determined by order of registration. Bib number will be assigned at check-in.
Race Course: 2 miles, forwards.
No. of dogs: 2 minimum, 4 maximum. Juniors must stay within the number of dogs allowed for their age (must be at least 8 years old). 15 seconds added for each dog in team over two dogs.
Eggs: One hard-boiled, colored Easter egg per dog (count dogs in both teams). Eggs must be carried in the sled in anything except an egg carton. Each team member must carry all of their eggs on their respective runs (5 seconds added for each cracked or missing egg.)
Costumes: 15 seconds subtracted for each team member in costume.
Relay: The second musher can have dogs harnessed and chained to the truck, but can only hook to the gangline after the first musher comes back in and "tags up." (don't forget to transfer the eggs).
Assistance: Once the first team member is off the start line, only a chute judge or team member may assist.

- Do not train or race on CDMA trails if you or your dogs have a contagious disease
- Always clean up after your dogs in the staging area.
We are happy to refund your entry fee if you or your dogs are sick on race day.
