"Friends of CDMA" Race!

Chugiak Dog Mushers invites businesses and community members to share the thrill of the runners on our local trails. All proceeds go to the Chugiak Dog Mushers Association, providing opportunities for the public to learn about and engage in our state sport of dog mushing.
The Race: The “Friends of CDMA” Race is a 3-dog, 2-mile sprint race on the groomed sled dog trails in Beach Lake Park. CDMA provides the dogs, sled, and training - you provide the driver! Trophies will be awarded to the top three competitors, and a participation prize will be given to all. |
Schedule of Events:
10:30-11:00 AM – Sign in 11:30 AM - Sled Judging at starting poles 12:00 noon - Race start 1:30 PM - Trophies & Awards |
Sled Decorations: Advertise your business or display your own personal style by decorating your sled! A panel of judges will award a trophy for the best decorated sled.
Training: Each participant will have the opportunity to receive one-on-one training time with their assigned musher and team. To provide plenty of time to schedule your training session, please register ASAP! Registration closes Thursday, Mar. 28, 5:00pm! Registration: The number of dog teams is limited - sign up as soon as possible! If you already arranged for a musher and team, please include his/her name on your entry form in the space provided. Your tax-deductible race entry fee of $250.00* helps support CDMA events and maintain our wonderful trail system. *Discounts for multiple teams |

- Do not train or race on CDMA trails if you or your dogs are sick
- Always clean up after your dogs in the staging area.
We are happy to refund your entry fee if you or your dogs are sick on race day.
