COVID-19 Safety Provisions and Screening criteria must be reviewed and followed by all race participants.
Registration / Entry Fee:
- Seniors: $5.00 / Juniors: Free with membership
- Online registration and payment closes Friday, Dec. 25, at 5:00 pm.
- Bib numbers will be assigned by order of registration.
Race Classes
- Juniors:
- Two-dog: ages 8-9
- Three-dog: ages 10-17 (to go out with seniors)
- Seniors:
- Three-dog: ages 18+
Entry Requirements
- Both Juniors and Seniors must be members of Chugiak Dog Mushers Association to race. Renew your membership online by clicking here.
- There will be a limit of 9 households/kennels in each racing class so sign up now!
- HEADLAMPS ARE REQUIRED
RACE SCHEDULE
- 6:00 pm - Sr. participants must have checked in at parking lot entrance.
- 6:30 - Sr. race starts at 2-minute intervals.
- 7:15 pm - Jr. participants must have checked in at the parking lot entrance.
- 7:30 pm - Jr. race starts with 3-dog class (ages 10-17), immediately followed by 2-dog class (ages 8-9), all at 2-minute intervals.

COVID-19 Safety Provisions
In an effort to offer races to our members, AND in order to stay within municipal guidelines for outdoor events, all participants must adhere to the following safety provisions:
Household or Kennel: A household/kennel is defined as one or more racers and necessary crew members from the same household or kennel "bubble." Each household/kennel is responsible for getting their team(s) to the starting line without help from other households/kennels or race volunteers. There will be a limit of 9 households/kennels in each racing class.
Crew members: Names and contact information for all crew members shall be provided at registration. Crew members must be part of your household or kennel "bubble" and shall stay at the vehicle during the event, except for bringing your team to the starting line.
Spectators will not be allowed at this event
Face Coverings: All racers, crew members and volunteers shall wear face coverings when out of the vehicle, from the moment they enter the CDMA parking lot. Racers may lower the face covering if necessary for breathing when exerting effort on the trail away from other people.
Parking: Vehicles will park according to bib number as directed by CDMA officials, with safe distance from other vehicles.

- I have not been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days
- I have not had a positive COVID-19 test for active COVID-19 in the past 10 days
- I have not been told by a public health or medical professional to self monitor, self-isolate, or self-quarantine because of concerns about COVID-19 infection
- I have not been out of state in the last 14 days, or if so, have a negative COVID test since returning
- I do not have any of the following symptoms:
- Fever
- Chills
- Shortness of Breath
- Cough
- Sore Throat
- Loss of sense of taste or smell
- Headache
- Sore throat
- Diarrhea
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
