Please use your drag mat to control the speed of your team. Brakes should only be used for stopping a team, as they will tear up the trails that our groomers work so hard to maintain. Also, it is the musher's responsibility to remove all dog poop deposited by their team in the staging area. Thank you for your courtesy.

Both side are groomed, plus Beach Lake and Dee Lake. Sleds only on ALL Beach Lake Sled Dog Trails. Sleds only on all trails. Groomers are packing and dragging snow on both sides of the road (race trails and alternate side). Your help is needed to remove overhanging branches! Please bring loppers or a saw when you head out on the trail. The culverts also need additional snow. Culverts are ready to go! 😀Thank you Kris and Amy!..you can run to Clunie now without destroying your runners. We still need some help to brush. Dee Lake and Clunie Lake were packed. Wide loop packed on Beach Lake - could be great for skijoring. All trails were groomed Dec. 8 - 2,3,4,6,8,10,12,14, inlet, 16 connector, beach lake loop, kiddie loop and gee-haw. ATVs are allowed on all trails except lake. The Jr, 2,3,4, gee-haw, Eds Loop, upper loop, and a loop around Beach Lake have been groomed. Great start to the base. Kris reported a lot of frost heaves on the alternate side. Avoid this trail unless you are a diehard distance musher. It's nasty. The 2 mile is sprintable (for ATVs only)! The hill is very icy, use side trail through grass. Kudos to Kris and Kourosh, who spent many volunteer hours making the trail safe. 11/6/16: Trails still very bumpy, open holes. Keep speed down outside of 2-mile trail.
